11 Months: Free play at home

Andre likes to tip the play table and throws the little toys around. He typically plays quietly, but his concentration can be pretty intense at times. Nowadays, Andre imitates the adults a lot. For example, when i slurp from a imaginery cup, and ask him to take a mouth, he does too. He enjoys seeing me drinking from a cup, and will keep passing the cup back to me for at least a hundred times.

When he holds a biscuit, he likes to share with me. Mummy, take a nibble, Andre takes a nibble and passes it back to me. These are moments i really treasure.

Thank you to all for your support, time and love in raising our little bundle of joy.

11 Months: Barber time

Actually this is Andre's 5th haircut... 3rd time officially at the barner, but mummy's first time following. It's at this malay barber opposite po po's place and cost $7.

Here goes, little Zhang and big zhang are wrapped in towel. Little Zhang senses 'danger' and starts to 皱眉头.

"Snip, snip..."
And the wailing begins...

It was a good clean up cos Andre's hair was growing out of the place. After that, he became more 帅 than ever.

11 Months: Downtown East Day 2, Part II

12:30 pm: Water time! Its super fun, and we like the place very much. Not much pictures though, cos i am scared we drown the camera. Prior to the place, we bought a Doreamon float from Andre. Proves to be a good buy!

At the SHIOK! river.
With Aunty Jay-Ann. Looks she has a big float too.

Andre played for almost 2 hours in the sun (longer than any of his sessions). Kept slabbing sunblock on him as i heard that babies with their tender skin can get sun burnt as fast as 15 mins. When we brought him back to the room, he felt asleep almost immediately after his bath. Daddy kept watch, while the ladies went to have more fun at the theme park.

Later in the evening, we had dinner at this quaint little place called Basil Inn. The wait was long, but the food was good. Cheap too! For 3 pax, with leftovers, we only paid $30. Tom Yum craving fulfilled. Dad went to watch a football match at Macdonalds while mummy and baby went back to the room to catch the F1.

Finally, one picture of mummy and Andre. Son: Mummy is the one taking picture most of the times.
At 9 pm, we adjourned home. It was a weekend well spent with plenty of activities.

11 Months: Downtown East Day 2 Part I

Hey, the night wasn't as bad as i thought it would be. I was 70% certain that we would pack and go home in the middle of the night. But we made it! Lucky for us, the noisy neighbours stopped their din around 11pm, and it was pretty comfortable.

Andre woke up at 7 and we went for a stroll by the seaside. He just sat quietly super stone.

At 8 am, we went Macdonalds for breakfast. Andre hated the oats with prunes, but gobbled down his pork porridge. And Andre learnt a new trick: The tarzen call. He will keep patting his mouth as you do the action.

Here's Tarzen, Mommy.

"Okie, I spoke too much"
At 9.30am, Andre was whisked back to the room for his morning nap. Baby was all co-operative and that means recharging for Wild wild wet later part of the day .. woo hoo! Dad and mum spent some couple time reading the papers at Macdonalds.

11 Months: Downtown East Day 1

We wanted to spend Andre's birthday at the chalet but decided otherwise as we were not sure how the chalet look like and if we will have problems with logistics.

But since we have the chalet, it's $15 for 4 days 3 nights, and 3 pairs of tickets to any of the many attractions, it was a steal, and we decided to come spend the weekend here.

Unfortunately, Andre developed a runny nose and so the first part of the morning was spent queueing at the PD. By the time it was done, we thought we might as well let Andre take his lunch and morning nap as well. So by the time we reached the chalet, it was 3 pm already.

At the Escape theme park. This place is a failure, and not fun at all. Luckily we do not have to spend a cent here. Daddy started by taking Andre on a aeroplane ride. *yawn* says Andre.

OK, we did spend some money. $1, for Andre to take the machine. Obviously, not thrilled too.

Back to the planes...
And finally the trains which we went at least 5 rounds. Well, at least baby could stand and he was waving as the training goes choo choo...
Here's the chalet. Cleanliness was acceptable.

And Oh!, it's Andre's lunar birthday! And so we got some mee sua for him. Wishing our dearest precious health and longevity in life.

Yummy!

11 Months: Loot for the Pinata

It's fun getting the little cute stuff for the pinata. Even more fun packing. Hope the kids like them. Probably save a few stickers for Andre.

11 Months: 中秋节

It is the mid-autumn festival. Wanted to bring Andre to Bishan park for a stroll, but who knows, the entire park was under renovation. We adjourned to Macritchie Reservoir instead, thinking it might have a crowd there. But it was very quiet, dark and errie. We did one round, before heading home in less than 15 mins.

Andre with his Doreamon lantern. He wasn't keen on holding it. When we asked dad to tell Andre the story of 中秋节, Dad could only say "从前,月亮上住了孜女 和一只兔子。。。" =_=
Here's a picture of the moon.
Here wishing all a 圆圆满满 life

11 Months: God Knows All About Me

Borrowed this lovely book from the library. I like it so much, that i've decided to plagarised the entire prose into Andre's blog. ((Yeah, yeah, God knows I've plagarised)). Thank you Ms Toms For the inspiring book.

From my fingers, to my toes,
From my knees, to my nose,
God Knows All About Me

When I'm good, When I'm Bad,
When I'm happy, when I'm sad,
God Knows All About Me

In the early morning light,
In the middle of the night,
God Knows All About Me

When I jump up and down,
When I'm spinning round and round,
God Knows All About Me

From my bottom, to mybelly,
When I'm sweet, and when I'm smelly,
God Knows All About Me

When i whisper, when i shout,
When i let my feelings out,
God Knows All About Me

When it rains, When it snows,
When I've got a runny nose,
God Knows All About Me

When I run, When I skip,
When I stumble, When i trip,
God Knows All About Me

From the beginning to the end,
God will always be my friend,
God Knows All About Me

11 Months: Mid Autumn Festival at Clarke Quay

All dressed up to go gai gai
Found his way out of po po's house.

Dunno why we can't take beautiful pictures... But see how magnificent the dragon lantern is behind?

And this is Andre's Zodiac.. The Ox

Little bub wasn't in the best of all moods and hence the un-smiling pictures. And so after checking out the place, we were home by 9 pm.

11 Months: Cake toppers

OK, I'm obesessed in get the perfect cake for Andre (without spending more than necessary). Realized that cake toppers are actually one of the hardest stuff to source and get. And i really wanted something unique and not typical of every birthday cake.

So after spending hours and hours surfing the internet, and spending one entire evening walking all the shops in Jurong Point, I'm proudly to have acquired the following:
Mickey on his little Plane. Mum's a aviation repair engineer la, so i always have a soft spot for planes. It is actually a toy, and it makes air planes noises... Mickey says Yoo Hoo ... plays a little tune... Its $18, but i think it makes a good toy and memorabila after the cake is cut

And to match, baby Mickey and friends on rocking horses. (I'm actually very thrilled to have Goofy inside the set too). Bought it from an online seller for $15 and collected on a hot sunny weekday at Tampines.

I am proud of myself and my acquisitions. Baby Disney is the theme!

11 Months: it's my mummy's birthday!

Mummy is 3o years old today. (Mummy's not too thrilled though and thought the day came a little too fast)

So to comfort her, a lovely Chanel was present to her. She almost fainted in joy as mummy is always nuts about gorgeous cakes, especially 3D ones, and never thought she would ever get one!

Po po prepared steamboat! Mummy's favourite!

Little Happy Family
With Adel jie jie.. Uh oh .. The Chanel logo is melting...
With gong gong and po po too...

With the 2 kor kors...
And here's a slice of the lovely lycee martini cake.

Dada fed mummy a little cake.. and vice versa... the Cake tastes like pure heaven ... Soft spongy cake with sliced lycees in fresh cream
The half eaten cake...
And here's mummy's birthday present and birthday card..

The msg...
And what mummy needs exactly for her aching shoulders..
