10 Months: First time at the beach

I can't believe we only brought Andre to the beach to play with sand when he is 10 months old! Somehow, something always cropped up and plus East Coast Park is pretty far from our house. Takes some convincing to make dad drive all the way here. Fuel is not cheap you know..

Apparently, Andre wasn't very receptive of the beach as we thought he would. He was quite apprehensive of the waves.. and clung on to dad for dear life.

And when we tried to let him kick some sand, Andre didn't like it at all. See how he is trying to keep his feet as much as he can to himself?

After 1/2 hour of beach and sand exposure, we went to the nearby hawkler centre for dinner. It has been eons since we last enjoyed these favourite food. Almost impossible to dine out without the help of a helper.

10 Months

Its the start to a long weekend with Monday as National Day. Spent the morning at Fidgets. Jayden, aunty Jan and aunty Stephanie dropped by our place in the afternoon.

Andre shared his little play area with Jayden. Obviously, a little peer pressure works cos Andre scrambled very fast whernever Jayden accesses his territory.

10 Months:

Andre is 10 months old today. Time seems to have flown by...

Andre's definitely more aware of the world now... Cause and Effect.

At the supermarket, he enjoys reaching out to strangers to see their reaction when he touches them. And cuckles when they get a surprise. He's very good at waving 'bye bye' now...and will protest if you take away the activity he is enjoying.

Like the picture, he likes to sit forward facing to absorb the world. My little boy is growing up a little too fast...

9 Months: Finally we got a car seat

Afternoon, we adjourned to Mothercare at Haborfront. We have some $60 vouchers expiring tomorrow. We finally decided to purchase a child seat, its a Britax Prince. It costs $180 after discount and voucher, which i feel is cheap. I don't understand why some car seats can cost $700-$800. Oh well, didn't want to spend too much also as i've this feeling Andre won't like being bounded. So doing a quick google on my Iphone, found good reviews for this throne, we decided to get it on the spot. Boy was i pleasantly surprise, Andre actually could sit in it for the whole journey. See his smiley face. What a good buy! and Andre is all safe and buckled up.

While we were selecting the chair, Andre bounced in the Jumperoo... This is much advanced than the one we had at home. It works like a exersaucer and there are those overhead features that Andre could grab. But well, Andre is a bit too big for this toy, we almost could pull him out of the seat. And of course, he was shouting in protest.

9 Months: Busy Sunday (Part 1)

It has been raining so much in Singapore that it has caused a couple of areas to flood, one of which is Bukit Timah where we stay. Luckily for us, our condo, Gardenvista is slightly elevated so our carpark is still safe. Not so lucky is Tessarina where we used to stay. The rains will come in torrentials, big and frightful, with gusty winds. Poor Wendy's which was due to open about a month back, had gotten flooded twice...

This Sunday, we wanted to bring Andre to Pasir Ris park for a walk. But came 5 am, it started to pour and the rain refused to let up. In the end, we gave up and decided to head to West Coast Park instead.

Andre's 2nd time at Macdonalds.

I wanna eat the curry sauce. Actually he did succeed, cos the sauce leaked out. Somehow he didn't mind the spice.

Andre kept looking at Michelle Chia, refusing to look in the camera... Wahh..this 姐姐 is very pretty.

And we got Andre a balloon. He was so obsessed with it that he refused to let it go, shouting in protest if you take it away. In the end, he drank his milk, with one hand waving the balloon.

9 Months: Visit to Dr Ong

It's Andre's 3rd Pnemococcal Jab and Andre's 9th Month development assessment. Hurray! He is 9.05 kg and 71 cm tall. And his head circumference grew by 1.5 cm (Dr Ong commented that they normally grow by 1 cm at this stage). This shows that Andre is catching up in his growth with all the Super foods. Yay! For once, Dr Ong actually grinned at us (instead of the skeptical look she always give). We too are very glad and happy for our son.

9 Months: Mummy is away on business

Jul 17 - Jul 28: Mummy is back to HQ for business. During this period, Andre moved home with Aunty Jann as daddy may not be able to handle Andre alone. Every evening without fail, daddy will spend time with Andre, bringing him out for walks and play time, all the way until Andre is asleep.

But well, since daddy is looking after, no pictures are taken. Not a single one. Haiz, what can you expect from husbands.

Oh well, but consider the time daddy spends with Andre, daddy is still the bestest in the world.

Meanwhile, mummy is purchasing the whole of America for Andre. Oh well, they need that boost in their GDP anyway. LOL.

9 Months: New camera

Well well, at least Daddy did something good while mummy was away. He purchase this Canon powershot camera to replace our dying Ixus. Its not too bad, the images are pretty sharp. But i guess there are many features i have yet to discover.. hee.. excited. And so these are the first pics i took... The colours are good.

A sidenote: Andre's wearing the pair of blue navy shoes i bought when i was in the States. Fits so excellently, Andre couldn't flick it off his foot.

In the 2 weeks i am away, Andre seemed to have grown a little more mature... He seems to show his understanding of the world in his own way.
