After a long long wait ... finally the day has come. We trooped down to KKH at 7.25 pm for our 1st appointment for baby 2. No more Dr Chee this time, but Dr Goh. Kevin asked me how come i chose Dr Goh this time, well, erm, actually was because i saw her once during Andre's time and she asked me if i wanted any MC... kekeke ... of course Kevin's expressions was like =_=
Typical KKH style .. chop chop ask the questions ... then its scanning time. For a while, couldn't see anything.. Oh dear. Well, then i recalled i just emptied out the pee not too long ago. So Dr Goh was like thumping on the belly. And then, i saw little bean! Not very clear, but in flickering moments, saw beanie lying very comfortable in my womb. And in flickering moments, saw beanie's heart thumping away .... pom pom pom pom . Baby measured at 7 weeks 6 days. EDD at 20 Sept 10, one day later from the predicted EDD.
Dr Goh assured that baby is in a good location and things look well... Thank God. Then she gave pills for the morning sickness, and gave the go ahead for next week's Korea travel, light exercise, no diabetic diet required yet ... woo hoo!
Next appointmment will be on the 28th. 3 weeks from now, and right after the Korea trip. Something that i need!
So with my two blurry pictures, and a happy heart, we ended our first visit. Andre was outside having fun climbing the sofas. He was shouting "Ma ma" ever so sweetly that i'm pretty sure all the mummies out there are envious of me. hehe ... I was feeling very proud la
This is the service with KKH. I remembered with Judy Wong, we did a vaginal scan. The pictures were clear, with the 42 inch TV placed right in front of me. She checked for a good 10 whole minutes before saying OK. For KKH, its the chop chop (you're just another pregnant woman) karli pok service.
The pricing is still about the same. But i still choose KKH. Because i think they have a very good diabetic care program for pregnancy. This is something that private gynaes do not offer, nutrition and dietary control and counselling. Dr Goh said she will do the OGTT test for me perhaps for the 2nd or 3rd visit. But well, for the 1st time round, i am glad i passed the pee test.
